The Nike Air Pegasus ’83 Returns In This Quirky Retro-Themed Concept

There’s no end in discussing the historical influence of the Air Pegasus, the origin of the longest-running shoe lineage in brand history. To this day, the Pegasus has served as the go-to running shoe for runners of all levels as Nike continues to deliver ample performance at an approachable pricepoint year in and year out. In fact, the Pegasus 39 is about to release very soon.

The OG model falls back into our crosshairs as we get a first look at an upcoming release that goes heavy on the retro thematic. The NIKE on the heel is done in a groovy font, while the tongue label sees its origin year of 83 done in the same way. Furthermore, Nike adds the double-Swoosh effect, stacking a university blue check above the base royal blue, whichh also covers the heel, toe, and lace collar. The beloved mini-Swoosh sits right at the outrigger. The grains in the outsole as well as the tongue border also confirm that sustainable materials were used to craft this piece.

We hope this is just one of many Pegasus 83s to return, so check out the official images and we’ll notify you when they become available.
