Meet – VonnDough @vonndough

My name is Josef Jovonne Spraggins, also known by my stage name “VonnDough”. Born and raised in the Linwood and Dexter area of Detroit, MI. I was Born August 23, 1999 and I am currently 22 years old. I always had a strong love and passion for music. I feel like I always knew deep down inside that this is what I wanted to do. It wasn’t until a severe football injury had taken place where I put my full attention and energy into music. I feel like everything happens for a reason and maybe this is what I was supposed to do all along.

My tips for any other artists would just be stay consistent. You have to hungry for it. You can’t worry about what anybody thinks or has to say about you and your craft, because at the end of the day it’s always someone who’s not going to like it, but it’s many people who will. You have to manifest everything you want into your life and go get it.

I’ve been making music for about 5 years. But it wasn’t until late 2020 where I started taking it more serious and putting all my time and effort into it.

I just want to be great. I want everyone to know me. I want everybody to know who’s rapping when they hear my voice. My goal is really to stand out from the rest. That’s why I don’t stick to one sound. I try to be versatile and do a lot more than everyone else. I want to keep the unexpected coming.

I don’t really have any inspiration. I can honestly say I’m self motivated. I do what I do for me and everyone around me. I just want better for everyone. I want to be able to do things for them that no one else can. I feed off the need to be a role model and inspiration to other people.
